Is Proxmox reliable for production?
Yes. Proxmox VE runs in production at thousands of companies and hosting providers. We deploy it as a cluster with Ceph to remove every single point of failure.
Why leave VMware?
Licensing changes have multiplied costs for SMBs. Proxmox and XCP-ng provide the same essential features without per-socket licences, with optional vendor support.
How many nodes for a Ceph cluster?
Three at minimum for redundancy, five recommended for performance. We size according to your volumes and failure tolerance.
